Calloway Taxi is a talented group of five singers experienced in many song genres who have been performing together since 2003. Their a cappella performances focus on classic jazz, pop and some contemporary pop songs with inspiration from such groups as Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, and Jazzappella. The name is taken from the jazz legend, Cab Calloway.
Calloway Taxi has become quite popular for their wonderful concerts performed throughout northwestern and central Vermont. It is very exciting to welcome them back to the library!! For this performance they will be joined by jazz guitarist Rich Sutphen.
Come and be warmed by their great music and the lovely reading room atmosphere. A perfect setting for a wintry Sunday afternoon. Free and open to the public.
