Celebrate local Artists - Come to our March 2nd reception at the Artist In Residence Gallery at 10 South Main Street in St Albans. Each artist will describe their work, inspiration and techniques and be available for questions and conversation. Please join us for an evening of good conversation and enjoy some light refreshment before heading out into the night.
Our March reception features three artists in various media.
Cathy Bohannon raises and prepares gourds to create unique vessels. She gathers driftwood from the shores of Lake Champlain, as well as stones, feathers, and found objects to embellish her gourds.
Terry Rice strives to evoke memory, self-reflection, and play in her artwork. Her "canvas" is often a battered piece of wood picked up on the shores of Lake Champlain. Paintings are embellished with lakeshore finds of gnarly roots or lake glass.
Mike Byers of Black Tern Studio creates decorative concrete tables and household items polished to a silky smooth texture that invites touch. and the range of colors and textures is nearly limitless.
