Past event
Nov 29, 2013, 10 to 11:30 AM

As of way of saying “thank you” to my customers during the 2012-2013 season and also to welcome new customers I will be offering a history talk and walk of General Ethan Allen Park off North Avenue, Burlington, VT on Friday, November 29, 10AM to 11:30 AM (This is not the Ethan Allen Homestead!). The cost is $10. I will discuss the various early land owners of the park grounds, why this was such a strategic look-out for the Algonquin Nation and some interesting tid-bits on the flora and fauna of the park grounds. We will also go up to the top of the Ethan Allen Tower and discuss its creation and see what we can see!!!! Also we will walk the old carriage paths of the park to the Pinnacle.

So please come and enjoy a morning of exercise for both body and mind. A great way to walk off some that that Turkey!!! Dress warm. The tour will take place snow or shine! Advance reservations required. E-mail: burlhistorytours@aol.com or call 802-863-9132.

May you have a historic holiday season!
