The City Council is scheduled to meet Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in Contois Auditorium. The first agenda item of our regular meeting is a presentation from David Provost, Chair of the Burlington Telecom Advisory Board on the proposed process and timeline for the sale of BT. This presentation follows a series of public forums BTAB has held and is the first time we have received an update from Mr. Provost in a few months. Following the presentation, we will take up our short deliberative agenda which includes an indoor entertainment permit for Esperanza Restaurant, an outdoor entertainment permit for Spot on the Dock and receiving an update from the Assistant City Clerk on preparations for the upcoming election. We will then hear reports from committee chairs, comments from individual councilors and the Mayor on general city affairs. Public forum will be held at 7:30 at which members of the public are invited to speak to the Mayor and Council.

Following our regular meeting, we are expected to convene as the Board of Civil Authority to appoint assistant election officials and acting justices of the peace. We will then convene a meeting of the City Council sitting as the Local Control Commission to consider the request for a first class restaurant/bar liquor license and outdoor consumption permit for The Great Northern located at 716 Pine Street, a first class restaurant/bar liquor license and outdoor consumption permit for Esperanza Restaurant at 180 Battery Street and finally a first class restaurant/bar liquor license and outdoor consumption permit for Spot on the Dock at 1 King Street.
