You only have about a week left to get your best chili recipe out and start preparing to enter the Essex Winter Carnival chili cook-off on March 4th 2017 from 10:00am until 1:30pm at ADL school on Maple St. Enter for a chance to win three fabulous prizes; grand prize is a family pool pass to either the Sand Hill or the Maple Street pool, 2nd and 3rd prizes are $25 gift cards to either McGillicuddy’s Five Corner’s or Pork & Pickles BBQ.
The exciting part about this chili cook-off this year is that all proceeds are going to help support the Blue Star Mothers of Vermont’s Pet Program who help our active military and veterans with all pet their needs to keep their hearts surrounded by paw prints.
The Blue Star Mothers of Vermont’s pet program will have an informational booth set up and will be ‘manned’ by some of the pups in the program, although they will be ‘working’ and not able to be pet you’ll get to see the overload of cuteness and how well they behave while they are in their puppy training process.
