Pruning Pizza Party!

Hi Friends and Neighbors,

Many of you know (and thanks to all that have already come by) that Hooker Mtn. Farm opened the state's first agricultural distillery this past December. As part of our mission as an L3C we are hoping to create an on-going community education program here on the farm. To start this outreach we will be hosting a "Pruning Pizza Party" on March 11th from 1-3:30. Participants will spend about an hour out in the orchard learning how to prune your own backyard orchard as well as ask any questions about starting or maintaing a small orchard. Following the pruning lesson, participants are welcomed into the distillery to enjoy farm-made pizza slices, maple soda, and of course free whiskey samples.

This is a family-friendly event and if one parent wishes to attend the pruning workshop, the other adult and their children can stay busy taking a tour of the farm animals as well as playing outside and snow painting with Carrie Randolph. Cost for the workshop is $10 for an individual and $20 for a family, this includes the workshop, pizza, and whiskey sample. Pre-registration is required and can be done by e-mailing us as www.hookermountainfarm@gmail.com or calling us at 426-2052. Hope to see you!
