It has been my joy to serve as producer for Essex Community Players' winter production. A talented cast led by creative directors and supported by a dedicated crew are offering this funny and touching play - "Stage Kiss" by Sarah Ruhl - this week and next -- Feb 23-26 and Mar 2-5, 2017 (Thurs-Sat 7:30 pm, Sun 2:00 pm) -- at Memorial Hall, 5 Towers Road, Essex.

When estranged lovers are thrown together as romantic leads in a long-forgotten 1930s melodrama, the line between offstage and onstage begins to blur. Playwright Sarah Ruhl brings her unique mix of lyricism, sparkling humor and fierce intelligence to the world of romantic comedy. The play asks us to consider what is real, both in love and in art.
