Moth-Inspired Storytelling Event

Past event
Apr 20, 2017, 6 to 9 PM

Hello,
I am a board member of HomeShare Vermont and I want to invite my neighbors to a Moth-inspired evening of storytelling, live music and good food

Don’t miss HomeShare Vermont’s There's No Place Like Home: Celebrating 35 Years event on Thursday, April 20.

Moth award winning storytellers Sue Schmidt and Kevin Gallagher will headline the event along with other storytellers, each telling a story around the theme of home and living with others. For those not familiar with the new wave of storytelling like the Moth Radio Hour on public radio, storytelling events focus on short stories about real people and real events. Sometimes the stories are funny, other times happy or poignant. Storytelling events have a history of being powerful, moving, and transformational for tellers & listeners alike. This will be a family friendly event.

Live music will be performed by The Brevity Thing. The band, featuring Dave Ball (guitar, harp), Jom Hammack (mandolin), and Steve Goldman (upright bass) blend together a myriad of musical styles, featuring strong vocal harmonizing, musical spontaneity, choice "cover" songs, and a few wild originals.

The event will be 6-9 PM at the Sunset Ballroom. Tickets are only $35 each and can be purchased online https://homesharevermont.givezooks.com/events/35th-anniversary.

Thanks so much!!
