In honor of Heart Health Awareness Month, there is a community education class Tuesday, February 21st from 6:30-8:00pmat Underhill Central School. Dan Manz from Essex Rescue will be on hand to teach “compression only CPR” and cover other aspects of care for some who is choking, possibly having a heart attack, or a stroke. You will come away from this session feeling more confident about when to call 9-1-1 and what you can do in these life threatening cases until help arrives. Strokes and heart attacks can happen to individual of various ages, but with so many of us close to grandparents and grandparent-like neighbors and friends, this is a great opportunity to help take care of one another.
