All are invited to come together in community at a time when many have struggled with anxiety, stress, and other emotions. A gathering for empathic listening will be held Sunday, February 26, at 3 pm, at the Second Congregational Church in Jeffersonville. The co-facilitators are Rev. Dr. Barbara Purinton of the Second Congregational Church of Jeffersonville, United Church of Christ (UCC) and Reverend Sally May, Associate Minister at First Congregational Church of Burlington, UCC, a resident of Cambridge. This will be as a time to share your thoughts and feelings, your truth without judgment, with acknowledgment that you have been heard and compassion for one another. There will be ground rules so that this will be a space that feels safe and open for people to share freely and honestly. After those who want to share have shared, we will talk about how we may continue to support and communicate with one another with honesty and compassion as we live our future together.
