Join artist and retired art educator Carol Berry and artist and children's book writer and illustrator Don Bolognese to explore the question “Why Art?” as part of the ARTSalon Series at the Library. Space is limited; register at mclvt.org.

This dialogue is a look into the consciousness of the artist as he or she asks that very same question, consciously or unconsciously every second of every working day - and sometimes, even while asleep. The conversation will be illuminated with help from the speakers’ vast stores of favorite images, both past and present. Attendees are invited to bring a favorite painting or drawing – especially one that they love, but can never explain why - and if there is time we’ll speculate together.

Free event; donations will be accepted to benefit the art book collection at the Library. Refreshments will be served.
