The Williamstown Readers Group is now reading 'Orange Is The New Black' by Piper Kerman. The book was turned into a popular TV series on Netflix.

Shortly after college graduation Kerman become involved in laundering money for a drug ring. Uneasy about the whole thing she escapes, starts a career and becomes involved with man she really likes. Then the FBI comes knocking at her door. Her former lover has implicated her in the drug ring. She's tried, convicted and sent to the federal penitentiary in Danbury, CT.

Her story will challenge your ideas about America's penal system and our War On Drugs. There's plenty to discuss in this book. You have time to read it before the discussion on March 1. Copies are available at the Ainsworth Library. Hope we'll see you at the discussion.
