The next meeting of the Northfield and Williamstown Schools Merger Committee will be held in Williamstown, in the middle and high school library, on February 16th, starting at 6:00. The primary focus of the meeting will be to finalize the merger report (use the link provided below to learn about specific details of the plan) in preparation for a formal vote by the committee. If approved, the report will be forwarded to the Agency of Education, then to the State Board of Education for formal action at their meeting in March. If the plan is approved by the State Board, the Northfield and Williamstown communities will vote on the merger in April on a date to be determined.

Many thanks to all of the folks who participated in one of the four forums held recently. The committee heard many good questions and comments that are being considered. If the merger plan is approved, look for dates and times for additional public forums before the vote in April.
