On Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 pm, the Richmond Historical Society will host a slide show presentation of early 20th-century Richmond photos in the Richmond Free Library Community Room. The photos were taken in the 1910s and 1920s by professional photographer Joseph Bishop (or Levesque) of Richmond. Last year the RHS acquired more than 400 of Bishop’s glass plate negatives in the estate sale of his great-nephew, the late Tom Levesque. The images range from studio portraits to community events to people at work or play. They offer fascinating glimpses of life in Richmond a hundred years ago. Join the Richmond Historical Society for this free slide show program led by RHS archivist Karen Yaggy.
