Dr. James T. Boyd, a Movement Disorder Specialist out of Burlington will be presenting at this meeting to help us understand what having Parkinson's means as well as discussions of herbs and alternative healing. The February 14, 2017 meeting of the St Albans Parkinson’s Support Group will be held at the Homestead, a Pillsbury senior Community located at 3 Harbor View Drive, St Albans. The meeting will be held in the conference room, next to the library on the first floor. Meeting time is set from 10 am to 11:30 am. There is no charge for this meeting. There is wheel chair accessibility.
The group is open to those with the disease, their caregivers including family and loved ones as well as those wanting to learn about this disease. The monthly meetings can provide an open forum to share experiences with others who are coping with the illness, gain education and support as well as provide recommendations for dealing with the day-to-day care. Participants can learn from each other, meet new people, have discussions, and listen to presentations.
