On October 29th at 7:00pm, at the Grace Methodist Church in Plainfield, the Water/Wastewater Commission is holding one more Public Information Meeting. This is an opportunity to get your questions answered, express your opinions/concerns, and/or show us your support for the proposed waterline replacement project(s) on Rt 2 (between Harvey Hill and Rt 214), Greatwood Drive, and Martin Meadow, prior to the upcoming bond vote. We want to be able to talk with you about why we believe that even though this will most likely double your water bill, if we do not do this, you will be paying more in the long run.
Jason Booth, an Engineer from Aldrich & Elliott, will be available to answer questions about the pre-design studies, obtaining the funding sources, and the scope of the project(s). Also available will be Greg Chamberlin, Plant Operator, and representatives of the Water/Wastewater Commission.
The bond vote will be held on November 5, from 9am to 7pm at the Plainfield Town Office. While all Plainfield residents can vote, only those who use the water system will be affected. There will be no raise in taxes because of this project.
We hope to see you at the meeting on Tuesday, Oct 29th for your last chance to get involved!!!
