Saturday, February 18th 2:00-4:30pm
Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society
2 Duane Court, Middlebury
At the Women's March on Washington, a group of women from different states came together to perform the inspirational protest song: I CAN'T KEEP QUIET. The artist behind the project, MILCK, posted free sheet music, lyrics and guide recordings to her website in hopes that people all over the country would learn this powerful song.
We will gather at CVUUS and learn the song in hopes that it can be sung at future protests, rallies and vigils across Addison County.
If possible, please familiarize yourself with the song prior to attending. We will have a chance to learn it for those that can't look at it ahead and will break into sections (lead, harmonies, etc.) to review all the parts.
To watch a performance of the song look up I Can't Keep Quiet on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on YouTube.
To download the sheet music and lyrics visit www.icantkeepquiet.org/thesong/
This event is open to everyone regardless of gender identity. However, the lyrics/content may not be appropriate for younger participants (under 13).
$10 suggested donation at the door will go to support Addison County WomenSafe.
Please RSVP to theresachancegleason@gmail.com so we can plan our set up needs and make the appropriate amount of copies for participants.
