Ever been curious about how Celtic knotwork is drawn? While knotwork might look challenging to create, there really ARE simpler ways to approach creating these beautiful detailed designs. Steps will be broken down for you and there will be plenty of worksheets to try your hand with. You'll also learn another meditative art practice that can be applied to many creative projects! I've been studying a variety of simple techniques for drawing the basic knotwork and interlace drawings that will be taught in this Feb. 11 full day intro workshop, taught in Bellows Falls by Putney resident and artist, Sadelle Wiltshire
Sign ups can be done at http://www.immanuelretreat.org/Art
(A 5 week Wednesday night (go deeper) course is also available which starts on Feb 15 and will explore more ways to create beautiful knots and designs - and there are discounts for those that sign up for both the Feb 11 Workshop and the course) Questions? Contact Sadelle at tanglevermont@gmail.com
Celtic knotwork patterns were developed in pre-Christian times, and incorporated into illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells and the Lindesfarne Gospels by early Celtic monks.
