At Dorothy Alling Memorial Library on Monday, February 13, 6:30 p.m. Local artist Julie J McGowan, a contemporary Hudson River School and Luminist oil painter, gives a presentation about the nation’s first landscape artists, the techniques and basic palette they used and what makes the 19th Century painters preeminent today. Julie’s artwork is on display this month at the library.
