Barre Voters, I urge you to vote YES on the TIF spending vote being held at the BOR on Tuesday November 5th for the following simple reasons: There is NO TAX INCREASE to residents of the City of Barre; Projects in Barre's DownTown will already generate approximately $8 million in revenue over the life of the TIF District, of which only $2.2 million is being requested in this vote; If passed, TIF will IMPROVE and provide MORE PARKING in Downtown Barre; Providing addtional parking will support brigning additional projects like City Place and Summer Street Place to Barre City, providing REVENUE and JOBS to Barre City.
