WARNING OF ANNUAL MEETING
LAMOILLE NORTH MODIFIED UNIFIED UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT #58

The legal voters of the LAMOILLE NORTH MODIFIED UNIFIED UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT #58 consisting of the Town School Districts of Cambridge (Grades 7-12), Waterville (Grades7-12) and Belvidere, Eden, Hyde Park, and Johnson (ALL Grades PreK-12) are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center Community Education Center (CEC) in Hyde Park, Vermont, on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to act upon the following business to wit:

Article I: To review and approve the minutes of the Organizational Meeting July 21, 2016.

Article II: To establish compensation for the duly constituted officers of said Modified Unified Union School District.

Article III: To hear and act upon the reports of the Modified Unified Union School District.

Article IV: To receive from the Board of School Directors of said District its estimate of expenses of the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union Grade Schools for the ensuing year. This is a public information hearing regarding the budget. (See Article XII.)

Article V: To receive from the Board of School Directors of said District its estimate of expenses of the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union Middle & High Schools for the ensuing year. This is a public information hearing regarding the budget. (See Article XIII)

Article VI: To receive from the Board of School Directors of said District its estimate of expenses of the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center for the ensuing year. This is a public information hearing regarding the budget. (See Article XIV)

Article VII: Shall the voters of said District hold an amount of the unassigned audited fund balance in the amount of $45,804.26 as of June 30, 2016 to add to the already established Reserve Fund for the purpose of meeting capital needs of the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center?

Article VIII: Shall the voters of said District hold an amount of the unassigned audited fund balance in the amount of $75,306 as of June 30, 2016 to establish under the direction of the school directors a Reserve Fund for the purpose of meeting the capital needs of the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union Middle and High School District?

Article IX: To see if the voters of said District will authorize its Board of Directors to borrow money to be used for payment of expenses of the District, pending receipt of taxes, by issuance of its notes or orders, payable not later than one year from the date of issuance.

Article X: Shall the voters of the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union School District # 58 establish a reserve fund to appropriate thereto, such sums as approved in future budgets?

Article XI: To transact any other business to properly come before the meeting.

The meeting will then be recessed to March 7, 2017 (Town Meeting Day) for the purpose of voting by Australian ballot at the usual polling places in the member districts on the following business and said ballots being brought to the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union High School Library following the closing of the polls in the member districts, where they will be commingled for the Towns of Belvidere, Eden, Hyde Park and Johnson under the supervision of the Clerk of the Lamoille North Modified Unified Union School District and counted along with results by the Town of Cambridge and Waterville Board of Civil Authority.

The legal voters of Lamoille North Modified Unified Union School District are further warned and notified that a public informational hearing on the budget will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center Community Education Center (CEC) in Hyde Park, Vermont (this is the legally required meeting 10 days before the vote.)

Article XII: Shall the voters of the Lamoille North Modified Unified School District #58A (PreK-6th grade) approve the school board to expend $11,468,866, which is the amount the school board has determined to be necessary for the ensuing fiscal year? It is estimated that this proposed budget, if approved, will result in education spending of $15,144 per equalized pupil.

Article XIII: Shall the voters of the Lamoille North Modified Unified School District #58B (7th-12th grade) approve the school board to expend $13,483,651, which is the amount the school board has determined to be necessary for the ensuing fiscal year? It is estimated that this proposed budget, if approved, will result in education spending of $15,691 per equalized pupil.

Article XIV: Shall the voters of the Lamoille North Modified Unified School District #58B Green Mountain Technology & Career Center approve the school board to expend $3,451,883 which is the amount the school board has determined to be necessary for the ensuing fiscal year?
