The next Colchester School Board Meeting is this coming Tuesday, February 7th.
Agenda items include:
- Superintendent Minor will give an update on the FY'18 Budget. Colchester appealed the state's Common Level Appraisal and the appeal was accepted. The impact of the new appraisal drops the originally estimated FY'18 educational tax increase by 1%. This means the average FY'17 and FY'18 educational tax increase is only 1.07%.
- A student presentation from the Extended Learning Class. The class helps CHS students fulfill their personalized learning plans as a part of Act 77. In this presentation, CHS Senior TJ Brown will show off his handmade electric guitar!
- Quarterly Reports about district finances and special education.
- Board Members will consider revising two district policies, D3: Job Descriptions and D9: Resignation Policy.
