On Wednesday, February 8th, at 12:00 pm in the Cedar Creek Room of the State House, Senator Anthony Pollina and Rep. Brian Cina will hold a press conference on the bill they are introducing to establish a Commission for a Vermont State Bank.

The two legislators hope to engage a broad spectrum of organizations and stakeholders on the Commission. The State Bank will: 1) deliver organizational and economic efficiencies within state government, 2) promote economic development and infrastructure investment, and 3) maximize returns and generate additional revenue with our state tax dollars.

Speakers at the press conference include Rep. Brian Cina, Sen. Anthony Pollina, and Gwendolyn Hallsmith, one of the founders of Vermonters for a New Economy. The press conference discussion will continue at the VBSR Legislative Reception at the Capital Plaza Hotel at 5:00, where legislators can meet and talk with VBSR members and others who support the idea of a public bank for Vermont.
