Randolph Women's March Community Event

Past event
Feb 10, 2017, 5 to 9 PM

Our work has just started. The Women’s March organization has put together a 10 day 100 day action planning, with a call for all of us to act every 10 days. Our first action? Sending postcards to our elected officials. I had such an amazing experience marching in D.C. with people from all walks of life, celebrating and defending our differences. I need to keep that momentum going, and so do you. So join me for the Central Vermont’s Women’s March Postcard Project event on February 10th at First Light Studios in downtown Randolph (35 Prospect St). The goal is to fill out one (or more) postcard(s) to send to our elected officials with our concerns. There will be postcards available that you can fill out hen and there, preprinted and with postage provided, and a suggested donation of $5 per card. We will be encouraging participants to take a picture of their card and post it to social media with the #whyIMarch hashtag. Proceeds from the Central Vermont event will be donated to Black Lives Matters Vermont and Justice for All, to support these incredibly important organizations growing here in Vermont. There will also be items for sale, shirts, stickers, local art, and I am looking for donations of pussyhats to sell to raise money. And food and beverage donations are welcome. Let's get together and keep this momentum going together. Together we can!
