Valentine Chautauqua at Four Corners School

Past event
Feb 11, 2017, 7 to 9 AM

We hope you'll be able to come to our show at the Four Corners School on Saturday, Feb 11.

In addition to a substantial serving of stories, the program includes songs, instrumentals on concertina and ukulele, and a bit of magic. Some of the material is well suited to the Valentine season; for example Tim plans to perform a classic romantic tale from his solo storytelling album, and will sing a couple of old ballads he got from his mother. But there will also be plenty of old-time snark. Duo tales will include the ever-popular Hungry Wolf's Lucky Day, Water of Life, and The King and the Thrush.

The National Storytelling Festival called our act "superb." Folkworld.eu urged, "If you ever wondered whether storytelling could be absolutely fascinating, give this couple a try. They are brilliant!" Seven Days says "Tim Jennings and Leanne Ponder are simply Vermont treasures, and hearing their stories never grows old."

The show runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, with an intermission. Tickets: $10 adults, $5 kids, $30 family maximum, complementary refreshments. For information or to reserve a seat, email us or call 223 9103. Walk-ins are welcome, but should maybe come a bit early-- the Thanksgiving show had a lot of folks standing in the back.

Four Corners School: 945 Vincent Flats Road, just up from the East Montpelier Elementary School.
