Join us for a wildlife presentation from 8am to 10am at the Old fire House, Tinmouth, VT. Then, head out to the field for the remainder of the day at Tinmouth Channel, a 1260 acre Wildlife Management Area that is a mosaic of upland forests and wetlands dominated by a Class 1 wetland at its core.
See and hear about a variety of topics, including bear biology and ecology, as well as the positive outcome of various forest management practices as they stimulate more productive and diversified food and cover resources for the benefit of all wildlife, from butterflies and birds to bears.
We are inviting forest landowners, loggers, and consulting foresters. We will experience in the field a variety of wildlife detection and habitat assessment techniques, with an emphasis on discovering how bears feed and communicate within the forest community.
