Reasons it is good to return your unused medications:
*Children will not find them and experiment with them (which can lead to life-long addiction)
*They will not get into the waste stream and back into our drinking water
*It will reduce the possibility of prescription medications getting into the hands people for whom they were not prescribed

Drug Take-Back Day is THIS Saturday, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Just inside the first set of doors of the Winooski police station on West Allen Street, off to the side, is a labeled receptacle into which you can discard your old or unused medications. There are no questions asked and it is anonymous.

Also, Winooski is lucky in that even though this national event is only on Saturday, the receptacle is open 24 hours a day!
