Empty Bowls 2017 Community Supper - Saturday

Two worthwhile community minded events are happening this Saturday!

The 3rd Champlain Islands Empty Bowls supper is 4-7pm January 28th at the Grand Isle School. It promises to be fun while bringing awareness of hunger in our neighborhood and the world. Proceeds go to Food For Thought, Food Shelf, CIDER, all Island organizations, and 52 Kids.

Listen to local musician, enjoy a bowl of soup, chili, or mac&cheese and bread in a hand glazed bowl (to keep) with other Champlain Island friends. Transportation for Seniors may be available by calling CIDER at 372-6425 as soon as possible.

Price is $5/person; $20/family. Don’t miss the raffle of donated items from local businesses and artisans.

After enjoying your soup and music at Grand Isle School for Empty Bowls, stop in at the Grand Isle Art Works for their 6th Annual Meet the Artist, Groundhog Gay Gala. A selection of hors d'oeuvres will be served and cost is $20 pp. It is honoring artist Anne Zolotas, who recently lost her home and studio to a terrible fire.

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday!
