Following Friday's Winterfest opening Christmas Tree Bonfire and Jazzyoke, SATURDAY opens with the first full day of events. Here’s what up SATURDAY:

Co-ed family broomball at Anderson field begins at 9 am. It’s on thin ice, looks like hockey but it’s with boots and uses a ball. Teams are comprised of adults and children. Come cheer the teams through a double elimination tournament.

Calling all Kids! All day today you have the chance to search high and low amongst all the toys and books at the Tiny Acorn to find the Golden Acorn! While you’re there, enter in the coloring contest, with winners announced at the Puppet Show on Feb. 4.

Waterbury hosts Drone micro racing! Come feel the excitement at Thatcher Brook Primary School from 1 – 4pm. Cheer on the pilots of tiny micro racing drones as they compete indoors! Learn more about the growing sport of Drone Racing by talking to the pilots and others from Northern New England Drone User Group. Suggested donation of $10/adult, $3/ student.

LIVE from the Country Club of Vermont It’s Saturday Night ! with Winterfest’s Annual Dance and Silent Auction! We showcase this event with music by Still Kickin’. Come kick up your heels, cut a rug, and enjoy yourself at the beautiful CCofVT clubhouse lounge. Light fare will be provided and a cash bar is available. Tickets are available at the door ($40 for a pair, $25 single)

All Winterfest events are designed to promote Waterbury, promote Winter, promote Community, and all proceeds benefit local Waterbury Recreation opportunities.
