LUDLOW, Vt. – The Black River Area Community Coalition with support from the Ludlow Rotary will be sponsoring a Drug Awareness Presentation and Discussion at the Ludlow Community Center led by Ludlow Police Department Sergeant Rick King. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and childcare will be available.

Businesses, residents and community members have expressed concern over reports of recent drug fueled burglaries, overdoses, and the use of heroin in our area. Sgt. King who is a certified Drug Recognition Expert will present information on current drug trends, including Heroin, Marijuana Concentrates & Edibles, Prescription Drugs, Fentanyl and more. He will also provide recognizable signs of drug use and paraphernalia associated with these drugs.

Literature and information on additional resources will be available. Please make every effort to attend this informative presentation and discussion. One of the best ways we can combat the rising use of drugs in our community is to first become educated on the signs and symptoms of their use; and how they are administered.
