Feeling stretched as a family caregiver? Learn how to have a more positive experience as a family caregiver.
Powerful Tools teaches caregivers how to take care of themselves instead of about the disease or limitations the family member is living with. Last year, a participant shared on her evaluation: “I am taking better care of myself and planning more for myself. I have more patience and compassion for my spouse.”
The six-week program helps both men and women caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, and increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.
Over the years Powerful Tools has also helped caregivers whose loved ones are facing challenges from dementia, cancer, Parkinson’s disease as well as adult children with disabilities and family members living in a nursing home or even in another state.
