Although the focus has been on national events this past week, we do have a local election coming up in 6 weeks. There are races for our city councilors & school board on the Town Meeting day ballot. Do you know your candidates? Would you like to learn more about Burlington issues as they affect you & our city?
Come to Larry Lewack & Peggy MacDonald's house at 51 Caroline Street to meet Charles Simpson, candidate for City Council in the South District, this Thursday evening.
This small gathering will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7-8:30 PM. Light desserts and hot drinks will be served.
This will be an opportunity to meet Charles and to let him know where you think Burlington should be heading in the coming years. He has been endorsed by the Progressive Party and the Coalition for a Livable City.
