Stream Table Education Training

Past event
Feb 11, 2017

The Friends of the Winooski River will be holding a free training on our Emriver Stream Table for teachers, other educators, and community members interested in using this hands-on model to explore how human activities affect erosion, flooding, and river behavior in their classroom or program. The training will be led by Jenna Guarino of Ecotone Education. Participants will learn how to set up, maintain, and take down the table, and leave with a "How-to" manual as well as a curriculum for one- to five-day programs. Participants will then be able to participate in the Friends lending program for the table. All teachers who complete the 6-hour workshop will receive a Certificate of Professional Development to document their learning.

The training has a cap of 20 people. All participants must RSVP to larry[@]winooskiriver.org.
