Anyone can have their taxes prepared by these trained AARP professional tax people as long as your taxes do not include business, rental income, etc. There is no charge for this service but donations to TVSC are always welcome. We are taking appointments now at the center 223-3322 so please call early to make sure a spot is reserved for you and/ or any questions you may have can be called to the same number.
Just belt it out!
Starting on January 29th TVSC will be hosting John Harrison as teacher of singing lessons. John is well known for his teachings at Twinfield High School and local choirs with in Washington County. If you have a love of country and present music, then John Harrison is just the one that can help you shout it out. The courses will be held at the center on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 to 5pm weekly until 10 sessions have been completed. The price is $50 for adults and $25 for age 10 to 18 years of age. We encourage the younger generations to join us. Who knows, we may just come up with a Famous Country Chorus! Contact Susan Crampton @ 223-6954 or cramptons@hotmail.com.]
The Jaquith Library of Marshfield would like to sponsor a Book Club for the Twin Valley Senior Center. Kathie Alyce, who is now a board member of the library, is bringing this event to the center. We have scheduled our first organizational meeting for Friday, February 10th, from 1-2 pm. The first meeting will be about reading materials and see where our interests lie. There is no cost to become a member, but the Jaquith does need you to become a member of their library, if you are not already. Again, there is no fee for this, there will only be a membership information form to fill out on the 10th. By joining the Jaquith Library they will be able to collect as many copies of the current selection as needed. The Jaquith Library will provide the books and will bring them to the Center prior to the meetings so that the members will have plenty of time to read. The first scheduled meet is February 10th @ 1:00pm at the senior center. Book clubs are very interesting to participate in. Members all read the same book and then discuss. Please contact Alyce at 426-3384 or email alyce@waterfallquilts.com if interested in
