After several years of planning, and several months of construction, the Poultney Public Library will be holding a Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Sunday, January 29 at 2pm.
The event is designed to celebrate both the newly expanded library, and the fantastic Poultney community that made it possible. The event will start with a ribbon cutting out front of the library at 2pm. This will be followed by brief comments in the new Program Room from State Librarian Martha Reid, former Town Manager Jonas Rosenthal, Library Board Chair Bruce Williams, and Library Director Rebecca Cook.
A reception will follow featuring live music by Loose Monkeys, Chris LaPointe and Mat Foley, and refreshments by Feastivities Catering. There will also be a special visitor in the Children's Room, a princess from the Vermont Fairy Tale Festival.
This event is free and open to all, please come help us celebrate the expanded and renovated Poultney Public Library and the community it serves!
