American Legion Constitutional Speech Contest

What do you know about the US Constitution?
Come to American Legion Post #14 (Vergennes) to listen to Vergennes Union High School students present their speeches for the coveted Oratorical Contest, speeches based on a citizen's duties and responsibilities under our Constitution.

Free and open to the public. No one will be admitted once the students begin to speak.

The winner of this contest will compete at the District 1 contest to be held at Middlebury Post # 27 on Feb. 12.

The District winner will compete with 3 other VT high school students Sat. Mar. 11 for the VT Department finals.

The winner of the Department finals goes to American Legion Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN April 14-15 to compete for awards and scholarships $1500. to $18,000 !
