On March 7th Danby and Mt. Tabor voters will be voting on whether or not to merge with neighboring towns to become one school district.

Please join us for the upcoming Community Forums regarding this very important vote. After a presentation about the merger, there will be a Q&A session.

The forums will be held at Currier Memorial School on Tuesday, January 31st at 6:30 pm and Saturday, February 4th at 3:00 pm. If you are unable to attend these, there will be more opportunities in other towns next month. More info to follow when dates are confirmed.

To prepare for the forum, you can read the report that was put together by the Northshire Merger Study Committee and approved by the State Board of Education. It can be found on the BRSU website (www.brsu.org) under Act 46>Northshire Merger Study Committee. There is a link at the bottom of the page and is called ‘tgsd merger report and articles of agreement rev1.pdf’. There will also be some printed copies around town for your convenience. They will be at the S.L. Griffith Library, Mt. Tabor Country Store, Nichols Store and the Town Clerk’s Office in both Danby and Mt. Tabor.
