Just a reminder that the Jericho Energy Task Force is starting our Winter Movie/Speaker Series on January 26th with a showing of Just Eat It at 7 p.m.
at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library.
This free event explores the issue of food waste from farms to stores as the producers of the film embark on a quest to avoid grocery stores and eat only food deemed unmarketable. Just Eat It is the winner of a number of documentary filmmaking awards including Best Environmental Film at the Sedona International Film Festival, Best Documentary at the Leo Awards and the Lake Erie Arts and Film Festival, and a finalist for both the James Beard Award and the Scripps Howard Award for Environmental Reporting.
The movie is being shown in cooperation with the Chittenden Solid Waste District. Light refreshments will be served but this will be a waste-free event so please bring your own bowls and cups. For more information, contact 872-8111.
