The Mid-Winter Evening of Pan-Celtic Music & Dance is happening at Good Shepherd Church on Saturday, January 28th featuring Irish, Scottish, Quebecois & Appalachian tunes. This annual event has a long list of recognized, even famous(!) musicians participating, along with local talent, Joanne & Terry Ranney. Enjoy Ian MacHarg, a solo piper, composer and Piping educator; Mike MacNintch who plays a variety of bagpipes and is a piping instructor; John Guay (hammered dulcimer) and Vonnie Estes (piano) who play for contra and barn dances regularly in New England, NY and Quebec; Nancy Bakemeier, an ultimate fingers-flying fiddler. And of course the nearby Scottish dancers from the Heather Morris School of Dance.
Details: Concert begins @ 7:00 PM. Tix at the door $12 (adults), $10 (13-18 yo) and free (kids 12 & under). A reception follows.
