New Small Home Informational Meeting- Friday, January 20th from 5-6pm at 247 Main Street (Vergennes Laundry) Vergennes, VT 05491

Come help provide input into a new affordable pocket neighborhood in Vergennes. The well-designed, highly efficient Net-Zero homes (no utilities) range in size from 565 sq ft to 775 sq ft. The developers of the community are looking to learn who might be interested in this new type of housing option; their needs in smaller living and views of what makes a neighborhood desirable. Those looking to downsize, first time home buyers, young professionals and anyone else interested in small home living are encouraged to attend. RSVP is appreciated so we can plan for snacks.

The Fisher Farm is designed to meet the need for smaller, energy efficient homes for local residents who want to remain in the Vergennes or move to VT, but who aren’t interested in condominium or apartment living. Today there are limited options for smaller, single family dwelling units in Vergennes, and Vermont in general. Fisher Farm designs are highly energy-efficient “net-zero” structures which provide low cost of living, and anticipate the future of Vermont home standards.

We are designing the neighborhood carefully, preserving a central open space that lends a community feeling, and clustered the homes to also give each home a sense of privacy. The current tree landscaping will be maintained as much as possible to give the neighborhood a “grown-in” look from day one.
