Rev. Andy Nagy-Benson and Emily Joselson, with support of the Middlebury Area Clergy Association (MACA), will host a showing of “13th" on Monday, January 16, at Ilsley Library in Middlebury. The film (1hr. 40 min.) will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room.* Free of charge.
Taking its title from the 13th Amendment of the Constitution, Ava DuVernay’s documentary explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the American system of incarceration that disproportionally affects people of color.
*Because the library will be closed on Monday, the Meeting Room is only accessible through an entrance in the rear of the building. A representative of MACA will help usher guests inside.
