"For a Reason" Gallery Show

“For a Reason” explores the creative process through the eyes of a number of diverse artists, who are (or “also happen to be”) Burlington College faculty. Every piece on display grew out of the successes and failures of other work—messing around and testing new and even scary ideas—an ongoing process of taking risks. Reflecting back on these experiences is crucial. Why did one experiment work but another fall flat? The answers lead to future development for any individual. The examples on display here represent snapshots of the creative process—triumph, failure, or significant stepping stones—in the evolution of these artists, your teachers. There is a reason behind each piece.
