Relocalizing Vermont: Net Zero Energy Cities? Jan. 5

Past event
Jan 5, 2017, 9 to 10:30 AM

Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio—visions for making cities net zero users of energy

9:00 - 10:00 am
This Saturday, the five finalists in Net Zero Vermont’s Sustainable Montpelier 2030 Design Competition will present their visions of the city in 2030. One of the design constraints was to bring down the amount of energy needed to run the city and then generate that energy locally—a net zero city. Two of the competition organizers will talk about what they’re looking for in winning entries, and what they’ve seen: Dan Jones, co-director of Net Zero Vermont, and Barbara Conrey, an architect and advisor to the organization.

We’ll also hear from others envisioning net zero communities.
