The Hyde Park Energy Committee meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7PM at the lower level of the Hyde Park town offices. The next meeting of the is January 12th
The goal of the Hyde Park Energy Committee is to help the town and its residents find ways to reduce their energy consumption without impacting the town's operations or its resident’s life styles.

1) MZ to present info found in her review of past meeting minutes regarding ideas previously discussed for strategies to publicize and hopefully enlarge the committee
2) MZ to report back on investigation into possibility of getting funding for our activities
3) Speak with Carol about working with Hyde Park Electric regarding the following projects:
(a) ) Informal home energy audits done by Hyde Park Energy Committee volunteers under the auspices of Hyde Park Electric
(b)providing organizational and technical expertise to assist with the potential creation of a so called "community solar" program by which groups of rate payers can band together to purchase and install their own solar systems in appropriate locations and allocate the power pushed back by them onto the grid to their own Hyde Park Electric accounts
4) JH and DG to present thoughts from their attendance at Lamoille County Planning Commission session to review Energy Planning Standards for Municipal Plans at the Green Mountain Technology and Career Center on December 12. Committee to discuss whether we want and/or are able to assist the Hyde Park Planning Commission, who has already indicated an interest in participating in this, in developing a plan.
5) Report back from JH regarding follow up on Ron R's contact to us with respect to assisting on the
improvements to the town highway garage for a possible funding article at Town Meeting 2017
6) Progress report (if any) on educational outreach efforts (independent of #1)
