Grow Your Own will host a workshop in Hardwick on natural medicines on January 7 led by Sasha McGarvey of Deep Root Apothecary. This session will be an exploration of medicinal herbs for cold and flu season. The hands-on workshop will be free of charge. It will be held at the Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) at 140 Junction Road from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include a shared meal. There will be an opportunity to share ideas and recipes for natural remedies. Grow Your Own is a project of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry, NEK Kids on the Move and CAE. Children are welcome. The mission of Grow Your Own is to increase food independence, better health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience.
