There will be a meeting on Sunday, January 8 at 10:30 AM at the Huntington Library/Community Center to discuss the possibility of presenting a resolution at Town Meeting regarding the use of neonicotinoids in Huntington. Neonicotinoids, aka. neonics, are systemic pesticides widely used in non-organic horticulture, agriculture and the cosmetic care of home landscapes. These toxins are widely implicated as a contributing factor to declining bee and wild pollinator health and abundance, as well as the degradation of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
