Resolution for Town Meeting

Past event
Jan 8, 2017, 10:30 AM

There will be a meeting on Sunday, January 8 at 10:30 AM at the Huntington Library/Community Center to discuss the possibility of presenting a resolution at Town Meeting regarding the use of neonicotinoids in Huntington. Neonicotinoids, aka. neonics, are systemic pesticides widely used in non-organic horticulture, agriculture and the cosmetic care of home landscapes. These toxins are widely implicated as a contributing factor to declining bee and wild pollinator health and abundance, as well as the degradation of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The Vermont Director of the Toxic Action Center will guide and inform attendees. PLEASE RSVP to the above email address if you plan to attend - THERE WILL BE NO MEETING without RSVPs. For additional information contact Anne Dannenberg.
