Meditation Class in Saint Johnsbury

Past event
Jan 5, 2017, 6 to 8 PM

The Satin Johnsbury Shambhala Meditation Center is delighted to open 2017 with the Basic Goodness series, a set of three inspiring and provocative six-week programs. The series will be presented via online classes that are taught by Acharyas (senior teachers in the Shambhala lineage) with a local facilitator at each class to give meditation instruction and lead a discussion group.
Our first program, How Can I Help - The Basic Goodness of Society, explores our relationship with others, our aspirations to help our world and specific aspects of social transformation. The course focuses on four aspects of society: relations with family, our professional life, entertainment and the economy. We will learn the practice of "sending and taking" (tonglen), engage in dialogues, discussion, contemplation and meditation.
We hope you'll join us for this powerful and transformative program.
