Concert: Classical Guitarist Christopher Schoelen

There's still room! Christopher Schoelen will present a special concert of music for the Classical Guitar at First Light Studios, 34A Pleasant Street in downtown Randolph, Vt. beginning at 7pm. The concert is hosted by Bob and Kathy Eddy, and will feature music from his recent CD, "Anima - Music of Spain and Italy for the Classical Guitar" and other selections from within musical periods ranging from the Renaissance up to contemporary music.

Home for the holidays, Christopher is delighted to be performing with his new guitar, "Tellus". built by luthier Steve Connor of Rhode Island. He made his debut appearance with Tellus as a first place winner of the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition at the American Fine Arts Festival in Carnagie Hall (Weill Hall) on Dec. 10, 2016. Christopher is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Music from the University of South Carolina, and holds a Master of Music degree from the the New England Conservatory in performance guitar where he studied with Eliot Fisk.
