The Town and Village of Waterbury are hosting the first public work session on the study of potential addition of sidewalks or other walking and bicycling facilities in the Colbyville area by Shaw's on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. The work session will start at 7:00 PM in the Steele Community Room at the Municipal Center at 28 North Main Street.
In initiating the study, the Town and Village used the existing Colbyville Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan drafted several years ago as a guide.
This first work session will focus on the existing conditions in the area along Route 100 that encompasses the Blush Hill intersection to Crossroad and as well as the Park and Ride lot on Lincoln Street. The goal is to solicit comments, suggestions, and concerns of the local residents and businesses. Come to this work session to understand the limits of the study area, learn about current conditions, discusstalk about the issues, express your thoughts and concerns, and discuss the challenges of adding sidewalks, paths, wider shoulders, or other changes to improve walking and bicycling opportunities in Colbyville.
