Friday Food Affair @ 5 will feature some yummy soups and baked chicken this week. Loaded with the things to keep you healthy this cold and blustery season.
Menu:
Healing Cabbage Soup (chicken stock) - full of stuff to keep you healthy
Squash based veggies soup - vegan --warm and smooth and very comforting
Baked chicken - with Rosemary & garlic
roasted potatoes - yellow and sweet
Quinoa/Tofu/veggie casserole
various desserts - including gluten free and vegan options
The Friday Food Affair @ 5 is in its sixth year of offering a weekly free community meal to any who care to come. Good food, games and toys for all ages - a great chance to meet others and relax at the end of a long week. All are welcome and will be greeted with a smile.
Donations are accepted, but not expected.
Thanks to the Farm at VYCC for the donation of carrots, chicken for stock and squash for soup. Thanks to all the folks who volunteered to help make dinner this week. Many hands make light work.
